Abstract

The tourism sector plays a vital role in the country's economy because it also influences people's
welfare. With the development of a tourist destination, local people's income can also increase and
employment opportunities can also be created for them. One of the leading destinations in Likupang,
which is a Super Priority Destination as well as a Special Tourism Economic Zone, is Pulisan Beach.
This study aims to determine the economic impact, especially on income and employment, for food
stall entrepreneurs in Pulisan Beach since the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used
is descriptive quantitative, in which numerical data are presented in the form of sentences to narrate
the numbers found. Respondents in this study were 23 food stall entrepreneurs in Pulisan Beach who
were asked to fill out a questionnaire. The results of this study show that most food stall sellers have
experienced a decrease in income and there has been no absorption of new workers since the COVID19
pandemic.
