DIGITALISASI UKM MELALUI MEDIASI VARIABEL DEMOGRAFI (SEBUAH MODEL KONSEPTUAL)
Abstract
Entrepreneurship, cross-border market and organizational typology have long attracted the
attention of scientists and practitioners. Closely related to SMEs, entrepreneurship has been
encouraged and facilitated by the emergence of digital technology platforms. By adopting a digita
technology platform, SME entrepreneurs can establish direct relationships between suppliers and
buyers and can engage closely with other stakeholders. In this context, the purpose of this research
is to investigate the demographic factors of SME entrepreneurship and its moderating role, including
potential entrepreneur's age, gender, and education in adopting digital platforms. Based on the
existing literature, the theoretical model was first developed, in foreign countries, but the
development of this model in Indonesia has not been carried out much. These findings broaden and
refine our understanding of the relationship between moderating variables and startup entrepreneurs
in emerging markets such as Indonesia, and in parallel, describe the characteristics of current SME
entrepreneurs related to digitalization.
