Abstract

Interest in using online loans is a person’s interest in an activity that he/she likes to do and that he/she want to deeply know. With an comprehension, usability and good motives, it is hoped that it can improve the perceptions of Management Study Program students at the Faculty of Economics and Business De La Salle Manado regarding online loans through peer-to-peer lending.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of comprehension, usability and motives on interest in using online loans through peer-to-peer lending for Management Study Program students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Katolik De La Salle Manado both partially and simultaneously.

The research used primary data, namely questionnaires. The population of this research were students of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Katolik De La Salle Manado who could be reached. The sample used in this research were 57 respondents who we student of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Katolik De La Salle Manado. Questionnaires were tested for validity and reliability. The classic assumption tests used were normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and linearity test. The data analysis used was multiple regression analysis.

The results of the research through multiple regression analysis and partial test (t test) showed that motives had significant effect on the interest ini using online loans through peer-to-peer lending for Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Katolik De La Salle Manado. Meanwhile, comprehension and usability did not have a significant effect on interest in using online loans through peer-to-peer lending for Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Katolik De La Salle Manado. Simultaneous test (f test) was also conducted which resulted in comprehension, usability and motives had a significant effect on interest in using online loans through peer-to-peer lending for Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Katolik De La Salle Manado.
